This is rather tangential, but I think this should be the return of Mecca,
technically. I'm sure this crew doesn't have anything to do with the former
Mecca. It was a hip-hop space on Broadway, the block right before Gratiot,
next to Henry the Hatter. Spot of the now-forgotten Wu Tang Clan no-show
many years back, shortly before they got signed on to whatever major they're
on. They took the promoter's money (I believe he went by "J-star") and left
town. Anyway, not that anyone cares about this arcane bit of 313 legend, but
I couldn't resist.
