We've often talked on here about the new artists coming from the 313 area-
such as Bill VanLoo, and Tad's work is something else to be recognized.
For those that were in Detroit or participated in the Critical events,
you'll know Tad from his residency there....
..and so, I get this lovely little package with Tadd's new CD in
it..."Winking makes a Face"
Doing something I have not yet hear come from Detroit, Tad strongly
refelects the school of Warp and IDM Detroit fans on the CD. Broken noises
layered with broken beats & sounds, the influence of british idm combined
with detroit obscurity is reprezented.(yo:). Not to mention a fancy dancy
pict of Tadd inside. For a debut, the art and design is done professional
and well done.
I remember when Tadd was 18 or 19 and blew us away at his awareness of rare
music @ Critical, so this is only a natural progression for him. The CD is
on Ghostly International, based in Ann Arbor (a pict of the Michigan Theater
on the cover).
The release party is Saturday October 14th at Motor 9-2am
