so anyways i am here in the middle east just enjoying my time off and i goto
a CD store to see what kind of electronic music they listen to up here, and
discovered that they pretty much only listen to trance over here too. that
doesn't suprise me at all. what suprised me was the fact that i found a
Deee-Lite CD that i had never seen before. it is called Infinity Within.
pretty good stuff, which i think they have always done. i realize that they
must have put on an entertaining show, but i can see some people saying that
they are cheesey because of it. so here is my question. how come deee-lite
doesn't get more credit??? or atleast Supa DJ Dimitri? he wrote most of
the music. They were doing this long before the electronic music boom here
in the late 90's. It is really good house music. sounds like it is
straight out of chicago for the most part. oh, and here is the detroit tie
in, too...Juan Atkins did the first Wax Trax Master Mix and Adam X did the
second, a third was supposed to come out with Supa DJ Dimitri, where is it??
is it any good???
am i the only one that like them??
jeff
ps...this isn't a women in electronic music thread either...lady kier might
look good, but its the music that sells me here...
