.....Marc "chaos" Floyd! is a name worth mentioning. He is such a nice unassuming guy, low-key and all of his tracks are off the wall dot dot dash, afrogermanic, ?UR condition red? So on that tip what is Gerald Mitchel doing? Another one of Mike's understudies more involved with 430 West ...one of the most underated house producers. I have worn-out everything I own. He needs to do a full length or something just thinking about his tracks makes my butt shake. Heath Brunner is another untapped Detroit resource. He has learned how to press plates so someone can carry on if Ron's health wanes. He handles Submerge now and puts out all of those bad ass Vmax releases! Which brings me to... what happened with KMS pulling 2 12's 070 & 071? one was from Gary Martin/teknotica guy who does very cool latin groove,techno, electro and house. anyone?
Not at all man... I'm just saying that I signed up to this list because it's the '313-techno' (not 313 and/or techno) mailing list. I don't mind discussing more established Detroit artists like Stacey Pullen, but I also want info on newer artists like Andres, Ibex, Bill Van Loo and Marc Floyd. Sims, Beyer and Lekebusch might be cool (and more power to them)... but they're not from Detroit, or really Detroit related. That's all... :) peace ~Askew
