hmm, maybe its just a more recent thing. From what i understand
right now however is he is only taking UK bookings, which i
suppose is understandable if you are about business. Out here, me
and the people we work with routinely lose lots of money on events,
mind you, we all have regular jobs, some of us make pretty good
money so can afford losses and really dont mind it to see someone
out here who is really talented.

Thats not the point i was making. What i was saying is that rolando
is ONLY doing european bookings right now. that to me, is unfortunate.
Im sure he is doing stuff at clubs and what not at home, (detroit) but
that isnt really what i am referring to. If i am wrong, please correct me.

I have dealt with UR/Submerge in the past and i have

great! never dealt with them personally, but i will take your opinion.

 But that's not my

i book artists. Detroit is not the issue. I dont think a geographical
area has much to do with talent as talent does on its own, if you
get my drift.

 Rolando is one of

Did i ever say that was the case? I was talking specifically about
Rolando. I am not saying that we wouldnt book other detroit artists,
at all.

Did they coniser saunderson? d-wynn, shake?,

who is saunderson's agency? we have always wanted to bring him out.

You have to understand the kind of market we are dealing with here.

If i am going to pay someone to dj, at a smallish mind you event, that
is costing me an arm and a leg, to fly, pay for, and put in a hotel,
They are going to have some kind of draw. Realize that the jaguar
track DOESNT EVEN GET PLAYED in this city AT ALL, unless its a techno
dj, and even then, no one really even cares/notices it.

Seattle partygoers are some of the most musically uneducated people
out there. All they want is super fluffy proggy trance or speed garage
or hhc, or goa trance. The people right now in our culture that are
into techno are few, and we are doing our best to grow this music.

Nope. read above. I am not worried if he was availble for my party,
and as a matter of fact we arent working on any events right now
to include him. My only point is- i heard that he is only taking
european bookings. To me, that seems rather

1) elitist and snobby

2) greedy ( i know how much money those guys make over there, its
pretty disgusting)

3) pretty much agaisnt their whole political manifesto. (for example,
i saw a copy of the jaguar remixes at a local store, with this big
byline on it that stated to not buy their records in chain stores, blah
blah blah never supported underground music blah blah blah mom and
pop are better blah blah blah.. my question is- THEn why the hell
are you selling them there? you can control your distrubution!
its about money!

Great- you and me both.

I am aware of this fact.

maybe i just hate people who act/behave like spoiled superstars with
big stupid egos because they can make a decent record or match
a couple beats together.

MY 2 CENTS.
