Agreed, that CD he did was one wicked, one of the main recordings that
inspired me to start mixing.   The Torema releases in the 90s were all
excellent too.
The last sets I heard of his in London were pretty dire though, and I
haven't heard any new production since the album he did about 8 years ago -
are there any specific releases since then worth checking out?

Fumiya Tanaka's mix up is up there with the d-may and mills...tanaka
doesn't get the renown he deserves.  he's so nasty, uncompromising,
and a fine producer to boot.  an elite dj and an elite producer.  His
productions don't really reach n. american shores too much - there's a
whole world of music that he's created or had a hand in that's amazing
