I am very proud and excited to announce that Ian Hawgood's 'Koen Park - Everything in Shadow' album has been nominated by for the Qwartz 6 award for Best Album! Those of you that dont know Qwartz is the world's most prestigious awards organization for experimental/electronic/new music based in Paris, France. http://www.qwartz.org/ // Albums by 1089 artists from around the world were submitted and reviewed by a blind jury including Alejandro Jodrowsky, and Bernard Parmegiani. Out of the process only 7 albums were selected as nominees for the best album award and only 45 total in all categories. // Out of the 7 nominees Experimedia is the only US based label. And 1 of only 2 out of all 45 in all categories. // This is very exciting for Ian and I as we have been working closely assisting each other with our respective labels, and slowly but surely/carefully working on our collaborative project for about 2 years now and we have become very close friends. // The two of us will be in person for the first time at the awards ceremony in Paris. While there we will be attending the awards ceremony and have a booth at the new music exhibition. We also plan to plan some performances and recording sessions together around Europe.
