Picked up the Detroit Escalator Co.'s Peacefrog album this week. I was already sympathetic to it due to the excellent appearance on the transmat time:space compilation, but after putting the needle on side A of the album and letting it spin for all of 15 seconds I was hooked. Great stuff, really deep soulful mellow stuff.
Also picked up some funky electro from 'Mr Velcro Fastener' - you can't listen to serious music all the time and these crazy electro beats and some guy talking about DSP and UMB had me laughing.
