Hey James - we were all pretty happy with the way that the program ended up - a few of the more underground guys from the 90's (in particular Pussypower, Terry and Jason, who were the first to bring Juan Atkins, Kenny Larkin, Carl Craig, Ubik, Aphex Twin and Black Dog to Glasgow) weren't on there but...the target audience is 16-30 and they don't want to constantly hear old bores like me say how much better everything was in the old days :)
There was a trio of 40 minute Essential Mixes by Glasgow peepz on the Friday too with Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, Sparky (who does stuff on Numbers) and Jasper James (son of Harri from teh Sub CLub - I remember when harri used to bring him into Rubadub and sit him on the counter whilst he was skimming through records, now he's all grown up and DJing at Amnesia in Ibiza!) - I think they will pop up on Soundcloud too soon cheers Jason On 5 June 2014 00:58, <[email protected]> wrote: > Cool interviews with Glasgow scenesters including 313 alumn Jason Brunton. > > https://soundcloud.com/jackmaster/bbc-radio-1s-stories-made-in-glasgow > >
