I think it's an issue of online topicality. For the most part you don't see
as much of the "go buy my record" posts as you do updates to websites and
this makes sense to me. We're almost all online and have access to that
music. If the music pertains directly to 313 I think it's on topic. I rather
like the "go buy my records" posts too but I could see how some people might
think this violates the following rule:
* Spam is strictly prohibited, 313 list subscribers are
not marketing fodder.
If TP, Todd Sines, Sean Deason, Theorem, Christian Bloch or any of the other
talented professional musicians on the list inform us about new material in
any format I think it's on topic because it's of interest to most of the
people subscribed to 313. If Sean Deason asked us to buy his new candy bar I
think we may take umbrage. Or maybe we'd let it slide since he's such a
likeable fellow :^)
I'm very pleased with the recent postings. It may encourage other list
members to show off their stuff. So many of us are striving to make a career
out of it in the future. Constructive feedback is crucial to obtainance of
that goal.
So has anyone else on the list submitted a Redux remix? Three days left.
Here's some links for me (all unreleased):
My most recent work, the album Quebecois in full:

Older songs from my 1998 album Novelty Conservation:

And I'm sure y'all have seen the URL for my Redux remixes about twenty-five
times now, so I won't bother reposting that.
