I figure this has gotta have some 313 appeal even tho he's from LA...

Just picked up John Tejada - The Matrix of Us out now on Defocus.

It's lovely! Gorgeous, soulful, funky melodies. Up to the usual high Defocus
standard.

I got Little Green Lights and Four Inch Faders a while ago and despite the
fact theat it was pretty well-recieved and said in some quarters to be
Black-Doggish, I was never really too impressed. I felt it was so much what
I might have expected that I hardly need listen to it. What do you all
reckon though, should I have more patience with it?

In contrast, this new one grabbed me right away. It comes highly
recommended - from me anyway. And this time it really does remind me of
Black Dog.
