Re discogs, I do seem to remember a good few years back, there being some debate on discogs about the colour of various Basic Channel related vinyls, some people insisted that they weren't black and that if you held them up to the light they were slightly translucent brown/mauve/etc, and started entering these as separate releases. But in the end I guess it was decided they weren't separate releases, just variations from the manufacturing process so these got removed/merged. Maybe there was a mauve Vainqueur that you saw, now gone, rather than a Vainqueur release titled Mauve?
