Awesome, response. Cheers
Pure from Detroit isn't always listening. Knowing where to get a
shamrock shake is. My only physical knowledge of the city is from my
dad's ex-leafblower business Sturdiluxe Sweepers, whereby he'd fly in
during the early nineties(?), and comeback with non-matching t-shirts
saying "go to Hell, Michigan", with a picture of the devil on it with a
pitchfork. It was/ probably still is/ a great tshirt to wear to church
functions and such and so forth, for conversation purposes alone.
I recall some notion of journalism from you? Or a Neil Olivierra link?
Or maybe just seeing you 'round DetroitLuv before the collective spoils
made all those seniors jack it all in. I have a good mind to visit
Detroit this year or next. I require several crates of records from
Puzzlebox and threads alone, I recall rwys producin' let alone oh dose
salt mines..
I have forwarded to a friend in New York. There was certainly a time,
early Internet, when I'd think nothing if browsing cd now/ wow or
whatever and the allmusicguide to shop cross dem big pond. These days,
unless I'm going bag hunting from case, it is a rare ballache to push
tariffs through customs without using Amazon or eBay correctly.
Anyhow, that's enough for those juniors not familiar enough with my
language problems and parsing.
cheers

Hello!
I'm not sure whether or not I've been on the list longer than you.
Heck, I am not even sure when I joined the list...probably somewhere
in the mid to late 90s, but then came into my own around 98 or 99.
Things are just one giant gaussian blur these days.
For my geography: there are many ways to split hairs on that, with
numerous purity scales out there. Out of veneration to those who have
lived in or served Detroit their entire lives, I usually say "Metro
Detroiter". I have lived in numerous cities around the region,
including childhood and adulthood stints in Detroit. If credibility
points are squarely dependent upon location, I'm afraid I may have
some bad news about many of the list's favorite producers and DJs.
As for who I am? Still trying to figure that one out. If taking a
random sample of people around the community, the answers would range
from "cantankerous, mouthy asshole" to "pretty decent fella". Well
aware that I have pissed off more than my fair share of people over
the last few decades.

Hello
This looks very intriguing, thanks.
- For starters you have been on the list longer than me;
- Secondly you are, might I be so bold, 'from Detroit'.
Perhaps I should ask the list, "Who is Rob Theakston?"
