Yes, the Soul City 12" is listed
on the discog, under other releases.
It is "Soul Sounds #1" with Winter
Breeze, Yesterdays, etc. etc. It's
one of his best EPs (next to KDJ7,
KDJ24 and KDJ25).

Kenny's first EP was the "Moody Mann EP"
done as Kenny Dixon Jr. featuring
Norma Jean Bell that came out on
New Jersey's Grassroots records, a
label I have never heard of aside
from this release (which is GR005).
This, as far as I'm concerned, is about
the rarest Detroit EP I've ever heard of.

His next EP was the "Moody Traxx" EP on
KDJ. That's KDJ1. KDJ1 and KDJ2 are
records I've never seen for sale/trade.
It's likely that I'll live another fifty
years and go to my grave not hearing those
at the rate of success I've had trying
to find copies.

I've heard there will be another round of
KDJ repressings. Anyone who knows him,
please feel free to pass along these
suggestions:

1) No more one-sided repressings.
2) Do the pressings with the original tracks.
3) Repress the records that haven't ever
   been repressed (KDJ1, 2, and 9 especially).
4) Put some of the white label only tracks
(KDJ19, 23, and 28 whites) on the repressings.
5) Repress the damn first Three Chairs already.

BTW, anybody out there who wants to
drop their KDJ28 white label on me,
let me know. I'll trade just about
anything in my non-KDJ/Theo collection.

Matt
