Paris gets respect for different reasons than "Sandwiches". "Sandwiches" is *NOT* representative for Detroit Grand Pu-Bahs the group, nor is it representative of what Paris does as an artist (listen to his earlier releases on Throw, esp. "The Stalker") or as a DJ (spinning everything from deep house to jungle, and all quality stuff). > I'm sorry, but sandwiches was uninspiring, unimaginative, > unfunny, and it almost made it on to MTV's TRL. Each to their own tastes of course. I personally thought it was quite hilarious, even though the novelty does wear off after a while (which is a characteristic of novelty, I guess %-) You have to admit though, that if it would've made TRL, it may have lead to 12-year-olds singing "make you thighs like butter, easy to spread", which scores as high on the hilarity scale as Kent's little kid shouting "I am the operator of my pocket calculator", thus scaring an unsuspecting elderly couple :) Cheers, Otto
