- Jayson B, it sounds like more than anything your love for trance is
evident and all the power to you.
is my love for trance evident? I think you need to reread some of my posts.
Like Carissa said, i may be trance FRIENDLY, but in no way am i a trance
LOVER.
your ignorance for understanding my opinion of stating "that trance >crap
made me feel violated" was an honest opinion and a true feeling i felt for
the 1st time as a dj.
you know what, that's FINE. I have NO problem with that. Maybe you're not
understanding what I'M trying to say. and that is:
how does declaring to the list your hate for trance progress anything?
my DJ skill and track selection
speaks for itself. I've had nothing but full respect from everyone that's
heard me play. I never mentioned that before as I don't like to blow my
own horn - I'd rather have you hear me play and make that judgement for
yourself.
you don't blow your own horn- except for just now ;-)
Don't worry, i'm sure i'll see you spin sometime, and i'll give an honest
review.
how is your live pa trance performed jayson?
Funny how since stacey brought that up all of a sudden its an issue. How is
the fact that PART of my live pa is trance (the rest is techno/electro) have
anything to do with the arguement at hand? I'm sorry, but i'm not going to
quote the rest of this paragraph from you, as it seems that your attempting
to hurt my feelings. try harder.
i respect that
although i would never go see you play. you must bring racks full of synth
modules or many synths to get that big, flowing emotional synth line
moving. actually to me trance synth lines sound like hitting a demo button
on an old casio keyboard and then overprocessing it to death.
what's this "followers" bs that you keep throwing at us too? are you not a
follower trying to be like paul oakenfold spinning your trance?
if you knew ANYTHING you'd know i hate paul oakenfold. Again, it seems like
your attempting to attack my person, which doesn't really hold anything to
my original arguement.
i'd say i'm a follower of people like richie hawtin, derrick may, jeff
mills, dan bell, claude young, kdj, theorem,
Can't argue with those names at all. Again, if you knew anything, you'd
know that hawtin is one of my biggest influences, as is theorem.
i try to do my part by promoting the music and supporting the artists that
are making and promoting great music.
Hey, that's FANTASTIC. Seriously, that's exactly what you should be doing.
Go for it. I'm all about supporting real music.
But back to my point: what does writing an email with a subject that
strictly says "i want everyone to know that i hate trance," have anything to
do with promoting good music?
this list talks about not wanting to bring up trance, as this is about
detroit music, yet you did. do you finally see where i'm coming from?
