Hey, it's not always writers! :) Sometimes the people who write the bios get
things mixed up and then the artist doesn't check - this happens a lot with
majors - and is a common source of inaccuracies. Sometimes the artist gives
divergent accounts of the same story. Sometimes artists are mythologising
themselves and rewrite their own mythologies over the course of a career.
Sometimes artists get their record label/staffers
agents/managers/girlfriends to do their fax/e-mail interviews for them, tsk,
tsk, so things really get twisted. Hey, it's a creative industry!
