hi My former music teacher used to learn from him. Some of the stories are amazing. For example he told me how they used to have many tape loops stretched the length of a big hall and play them. The tape cutting techniques they used sound so tedious, using thousands of splices and joining them (does anybody no what the average amount of splices were for the first detroit stuff). Aparently they would splice lots of prerecorded tape and stick them all on the wall and then randomly put it back togeather. The first synths they used were as big as whole rooms. Personly i find stockhausens music damn scary but very interesting. My teacher said the last thing he heard that stockhausen was working on was a 24 hour oprah.
