I had a listen to the new Stacey Pullen LP over the weekend (advance promo off a friend who's promoting it in the UK, it isn't out yet) and it is *incredibly* disappointing. Apart from the track that is due to be released as a single (with an opera vocal sample), which sounds like a progression of the Silent Phase ideas, it is almost entirely very turgid, run of the mill, dull attempts at instrumental hip hop/trip hop. What a shock to the system: a Stacey Pullen album I won't buy.
