If it's crowd reaction you're talking about, setting up long breakdowns and
pumping your fist in the air when the kick comes in seems to work pretty well,
even if it's a cheap trick.

The true heads aren't swayed by cheap theatrics, but then they'll be with
you if the tracks are tight, even if all you do is hide under a table and
tweak knobs.

I'm doing my first ever set in a couple of weeks, Powerbook playing my tracks straight off Logic and tweaking them live with Pluggo. It doesn't matter to me that I'll have a few seconds of space in between songs. I think of it as time to let the listener clean their aural palate, so to speak ; ). What matters is that the tracks are "tight" before I even go in and mess with them.
