Hold your horses! I never denied Mills abilities, nor as a dj, nor as an artist. And I know he doesn't claim to be God, it's just that when I see hundreds of kids screaming like madmen just when they see Jeff approaching the decks, and doing the same when he is bangin' away at a way-too-fast-pace to be healthy, with more backspins than any normal brain could handle, changing records every 2 minutes or less, well at that time I do not consider him to be an exquisite dj, and I long for the moment when he would play his Every Dog Has Its Day - tracks and other beauties. I must add that I have only seem him on big raves, and we all know that for some bizarre reason dj's think that at big raves it has to be harder, faster, less groovy, no room for downtempo moments. That's wack IMHO.
Who is great in my book? Derrick Carter, DJ Rasoul, Laurent Garnier, Mark Farina, Mike Dunn. Those have never disappointed me. Later, RD >>And finally someone who dares to say that Jeff Mills is not God behind the >>decks. >> >Mills never claims to be God, why would you listen to anyone quoting such >tripe? However if you're denying Mills' ability as an exquisite dj and >artist, I would be curious to see who is 'superb' in your book. >You know I heard Oakenfold is pretty smooth.
