To add a few details: Richard Brown is still active as Cherry Bomb on Music Man - he released a rather nice twelve late last year, as I remember. His partner in Swag is Chris Duckenfield (here I must shamelessly squeeze in a plug for my interview with Chris in the current Jockey Slut - Bent cover). Richard has engineered for loads of people, quite possibly including Autechre - he lives in Wakefield and works/has worked with most of the prominent producers from the Yorkshire region of the UK, inc. Chris D, Mark Bell (LFO - not to be confused with Blackpool-based Mark Bell who records house for Shaboom etc), Beaumont Hannant and more besides. Richard met Chris when he engineered for Chris's early work as Rhythm Invention (remember the classic 'I Can't Take It'?) for Warp, and they took it on from there.
Cheers! - Tom Magic Feet > Cherry Bomb was Richard Brown. I don't think he's released much as Cherry > Bomb in a while. His material as Swag (with one other person, I'm sure > someone else can name him) is top notch and diverse. From downtempo to house > to breaks, all very lush and funky. Not much like Cherry Bomb really.
