If you unplug your 1210 and make sure that you've grounded the earth to get
rid of any residue charge then take off the platter - because of the magnet
this isn't amazingly easy, so be careful. Once you've done this, I can't
remember if there is a further cover you need to unscrew. If there is, take
it off, if there isn't you'll see a load of circuitry. Be careful you don't
touch any of it except two blue plastic screw heads. One adjusts the pitch
range, the other adjusts the torque applied to the platter when you press
the stop button (i.e. whether it'll stop so quickly it spins back - high
torque). I can't remember which is which but I recall it being fairly clear
from the circuit board. Anticlockwise reduces in both cases and clockwise
increases. I actually need to sort out one of mine so as to fix the torque
which is too slack.
