It is also very narrow minded to think that you should only play records between +- 4% of what they were recorded at, besides no one said they were playing at one tempo, they just said they wanted to play some things faster.
Even the best of classics have been reworked into something new and different (ie. TP playing MJ's Billy Jean on 45 and juggling it). Why the hell do you think they made pitch control in the first place? Lose yourself in the experiment and stop trying to be so damn calculated. todd ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sakari Karipuro" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Dennis Donohue" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, February 01, 2001 7:08 AM Subject: Re: [313] Gemini CDJ Package For Sale > On Thu, 1 Feb 2001, Dennis Donohue wrote: > > > I agree... > > There are alot of older tracks that I rarely play anymore because they are > > only 135BPM at +8, and I usually play faster than that. > > For instance: anything on +8 > > Spastik by plastikman > > Anything by woddy McBride (incl.
