this has been around as long as i remember. tempo on dance music (Generally, was it pop or underground) has been going up and down like waves. now the trend seems to be again upwards, sometime ago it was downwards. i don't know what part gear manufacturers play on this field. maybe it's because every now and then there seems to be bigger interest over dancemusic, younger people get into the "scene", and typically those people who are new to the "scene" think that faster and harder is cooler. this week it's 150bpm and next week it's up to 170 and so on.. or something. just a thought. sakke
