*************** Fritz Lang's "METROPOLIS" at Berlin Film Fest: The Berlin Film Fest/Berlinale RETROSPECTIVE this year is dedicated to FRITZ LANG. Born in Vienna, Lang moved to Berlin after the First World War, working later in the USA and later becoming Germany's best known motion picture director in (and of) the first half of the last century. The Retrospective will present among others Lang's anti-Nazi film "MAN HUNT", the "DR. MABUSE" movies and the 1925/26 science-fiction masterpiece "METROPOLIS" - in a restored and digitally edited version. The 2 1/2 hour version will be shown on Thursday the 15th of February. JEFF MILLS: 'Premiere World Studio Universal' (Universal Studios, Germany) is showing a Fritz Lang feature on pay-TV channel 'Premiere World' including an interview with JEFF MILLS: --Wednesday the 7th of February 12.15 am and --Friday the 9th of February at 5.30 pm The feature will include an interview with musician JEFF MILLS: -composer of the 21st-century electronic soundtrack inspired by METROPOLIS (Tresor and Axis Records) - and director of a 1 hour long 21st-century film interpretation of METROPOLIS Jeff Mills' METROPOLIS at Berlin Film Fest (BERLINALE): Jeff Mills' METROPOLIS will be shown at the reception the German Government is holding for the opening of the 51st Berlin Film Fest on Thursday the 8th of February in Berlin.
