*************** Fritz Lang's "METROPOLIS" at Berlin Film Fest: The Berlin Film Fest/Berlinale RETROSPECTIVE this year is dedicated to FRITZ LANG. Born in Vienna, Lang moved to Berlin after the First World War, working later in the USA and later becoming Germany's best known motion picture director in (and of) the first half of the last century. The Retrospective will present among others Lang's anti-Nazi film "MAN HUNT", the "DR. MABUSE" movies and the 1925/26 science-fiction masterpiece "METROPOLIS" - in a restored and digitally edited version. The 2 1/2 hour version will be shown on Thursday the 15th of February.
