here are clues of the track that i was specifically looking for when i asked
about the chicago disco classics with an electronic edge.
this is going to be funny...

you can even touch the skyyyyyyy..."
the track has moroder-esque electronic drum sounds
and a funky synth bass line accompanied by short chord sounds playing the
16th notes.
