Why is it that some of the most forward thinking artists and record labels around today have some of the worst websites for information (out of date info, pages and pages of flash intros.)
Two big exceptions (that i can think of) to this are the AXIS RECORDS and PURESONIK websites, With lots of weblogs appearing these days i would like to see labels supplying more up-to-date info, what do you think?. Release dates of records, where to obtain online, artist bios, sound files, news that is current, email mailing lists etc. I am interested in what makes a good record label website?, what things do you like to see, etc? Also in another web/313 related thread.. It sounds like their will be more techno tourists from around the world visiting Detroit this year for the 2nd DEMF, it would be good to have a permanent website that is full of information (aimed at people who are into Detroit techno) on where to stay, where to visit, shop etc - maybe one already exists?.
