Following the brilliant four night long 10 year celebration party which saw
Kevin Saunderson, Rolando, Marshall Jefferson, Suburban Knight live, James
Ruskin, Cristian Vogel and many more bring the house down comes the first
release in the Archiv series that raids the Tresor vaults for long deleted
classics and rareities.
The 1995 "Sirius" compilation on Tresor began the defining steps in the
label's then young history. Sublicensed to Logic Records and basically lost
in the typical entanglements of a major, the "Sirius" compilation remained
an obscure part of Tresor history that everyone continues to look for even
today. With the label turning TEN years old this year, the "lost" tracks
have finally been recovered and signal the start of the TRESOR ARCHIV
SERIES.
This first chapter features the three most obscure, out of print and
otherwise RARE cuts from "Sirius" featuring a new cut by Dubplates &
Mastering (Berlin).
DANIEL BELL began his relationship with the label as far back as 1995,
graciously crafting his first-ever Tresor debut track "Acid Phreak"
exclusively for the "Sirius" compilation.
CRISTIAN VOGEL's "Ninjah" was licensed to "Sirius" as a vital introduction
to his Tresor debut album ("Absolute Time") that followed in late-1995.
Originally released on Vogel's Mosquito imprint, the 1000 copy pressing
immediately sold out and hasn't been remanufactured since.
JUAN ATKINS' fantastically deep "Light Speed" was released on "Sirius" as a
cd-bonus track. It has never been on vinyl before!
Next in the series:- Bam Bam¹s classic OWhere¹s Your Child¹ remixed by DJ
Rush.
