As far as eliminating gaps in Winamp, I don't know. But I will tell you that no matter how hard you try with the DJ Mary 'tech-house' set, you will not be able to eliminate the small discontinuities between the tracks. The mp3s were not cut exactly and I can play a burned version on a cd player and have the tracks back to back and still hear slight gaps and quirks between the tracks. I have learned to live with this, but I would like to know if anyone had an uncut version of this set?
Anyway, this may explain why you still hear gaps, even with your plugin.
