to be honest, i would not really appreciate my music being distributed thru
other channels than those i can monitor. i feel my music does not stop with the
plain tracks, the whole presentation(titles, format(vinyl)) is essential for
what i do.. besides that i like to keep a certain amount of control over em.. to
know what people think about it as well as whose involved in the distribution of
the item. It´s the same with tings like mix cd´s i like to be able to say no if
i don´t believe in the concept.. besides that in the end the tracks r my
property so its a matter of respect. every copy has been manufactured carefully
and handled by the people i consider to b the best in the world in what they
do... give the pressing plant and the mastering-company some respect and buy the
vinyl so we can all get ahead in this industry, we really need ur support ..(
respect to MPO, Pole at D&M and Michiel at SSR, u make the record so much more
than just the tracks..) When u r just a small artist things like napster keep ur
music smal, no money to build my studio in what it should be and i still have to
work 40hours 5 days a week and still run the label, do the artwork and stuff,
step into the studio and all...this way i can never find the time to do more
stuff, hope u can all feel this. maybe one day we will be really out there
instead of those corporate boys...till then i guess i just have to wait for some
free time and work 24/7.
