WEMF is in July, there is no Memorial Day weekend in Canada, that's a US only holiday. The weekend before that is a Canadian holiday. Last year WEMF sucked because of the crappy location and weather. It is a trance festival with a small amount of techno thrown in.

The I-dance rally is probably what someone who posted ran into last year. It was a rally to show the Toronto Mayor who at the time was trying to get electronic music parties banned forever, that this music is more than it's worst parts. It was a great party.
---> That's probably the one. My memory of this is vague, but I clearly remember something was happening in Toronto the weekend after the DEMF. What's the current status on Toronto nightlife? Did that mayor get what he wanted or is Toronto still a happening place?
The same weekend as DEMF is Mutek in Montreal, a great showcase of the minimalistic talent from T.O Montreal and all over. Last year it was the weekend after DEMF but I believe it was moved this year.
---> I already heard something about Mutek (no line-up though), but we are going to stick with Toronto and not move on anymore from there. Our plane back leaves from Toronto so no Montreal for us this year.
