I think another factor that's being overlooked is the loss of a "public
identity"...  I think that especailly in Bangalter and de homen christo's
case they have gotten huge...  They are young, and they are smart...  I
think they like the idea of being able to walk the streets and not be
recognized by everyone...  I think that is an important part of it...  They
make good music IMO and keep it interesting and always respect their
influences and predecesors...  I think they also would like to remain
somewhat anonymous in a star hungry society....  I don't think there is
anything wrong with doing it the other way though either...  It all depends
on if you would like to escape the identity, revel in it, or just try to be
yourself...  I don't think they want to be the next electronic artist who
defines the mold...  A Bald, skinny, white, vegan guy seems to come to mind
for some reason, hmmm.....
