my roommate is a pretty big fan of moby (for some reason or another...it's
beyond me) and she was watching something on tv that had an interview with him
in it and i just happened to catch part of it and it made me think of the
discussion about getting paid by corporate sponsors and how someone brought up
how moby was getting paid all this money by different sources...
well...it turns up that he donates the money that he receives from these
corporations to advocacy groups...since he got money from a car company, he
decided to give that money to a group that was all about fighting the
automobile industry and the pollution it causes.
i thought that was kind of interesting...because even though i am not a big fan
of moby, musically, i knew he was highly into animal rights activism and
whatnot, and figured he was doing something worthwhile with his money...
