vogel has a strange, moody reputation in the UK. i remember he pissed off dave clarke and others in the brighton scene for some reason, and an old school friend of mine ended up recording an ambientish, beatless LP with him several years ago, but it apparantly ended up with vogel "stealing" his then girlfriend.
