The airport trip might still be expensive, but I've noticed at least 
that short trips or downtown-suburb trips have gotten much cheaper in 
the last 3 or 4 years with the development going on.

It used to cost something outrageous like $20 to get from downtown to 
Ferndale ... now it's closer to $12.
