Funny thing you bring this up,
KJ and I will be in Detroit from the 18th till the 30th and we are in NY
right now. Man, this is a pretty expensive city and we also started
thinking that renting a car for the whole period is going to turn out really
a bit too much for our technotourist budget.
So, would there be somebody who could pick us up at the Detroit airport on
the 18th so we can look into this matter without having to rush into a much
too expensive car rental deal at the airport. We have no clue what is the
best way to go about this so all help and hints are welcome.

P.S. The Tresor-party in Limelight yesterday rocekd. Maybe a little too few
people, but good sound and good performances (e.g. Tobias Schmidt and James
Pennington) Lots of freaky people though.

problem for folks under 25: they charge an extra $10-20+ a day at most of
the large chains (budget, hertz, thrifty,etc.), which kicks costs up to
about 175 for 4 days. but still i think its worth it for the freedom to go
where you want to whenever.

Damn, y'all might as well rent cars for the amount of money you'll spend
on cabs. Depends on how long you're going to be there, bu I would say it's
well worth it. I did some research and, if I'm not mistaken, I believe I
could
find decent cars for around $80-90 + tax, etc. for 4 or 5 days. It was
pretty
cheap; more so than most places.
Plus, you just want to have your own ride in tha D.
