Here's an update on records I've picked up recently:

Theo Parrish "I Can Take It" (Sound Signature) - Long awaited release for
what I imagine is Theo's mix of Recloose's "Can't Take It", and was heard
way back in his DEMF set. The flip is certainly not your derivative kind of
Afro Beat house and is infinitely more deserving of a Fela Kuti thumbs up
than any of that new Nuphonic tedium.

Andres "Untitled" (KDJ) - Far better than the disappointing doublepack we
last heard from the elusive Andres, B2 is particularly top. Pick it up if
you can find it. Though the J.A.N. 12 is better. I realised, too, that apart
from KDJ 1 & 2, all I'm missing is the second Andres 12.

New World Aquarium "Theme From... " (Delsin) - A pre FA Cup final Vinyl
Junkies visit proved very rewarding: NWA lay it on thick in a Theo Parrish
stylee. I loved the second instalment, so was chuffed to find VJs had the
first in stock. Top stuff 154! *And* Dundee United made it to safety...
Results all round.

Aardvark " (Nubian Mindz remix)" (Rush Hour) - I haven't yet been convinced
by the whole broken beats bizniz but I am well impressed by the second mix
here. Theo Parrish's influence is all over this week's purchases, but that's
never a bad thing ;) Are Nubian Mindz always this much better than the usual
wanky watered down jazz funk?

Sunshine Anderson "Heard It All Before" (Atlantic) - This isn't even
remotely on topic for 313, but it's a superb bit of R&B, and is a well
suited "can't get it out of your head" number for a sunny afternoon in the
park.

Duplex "Autosave" (Ground Zero) - An excellent release, as you'd expect from
the talented Duplex fellows and that renowned arbiter of good taste, label
boss and 313 subber, Otto ;) "Return" especially rocks for me, and wouldn't
be out of place on UR.
