If anything, Ford will just play the "sponsor" role.  Frankly, I have no 
problems
at all with major companies contributing.  They're the ones with the money.
Money that is important in enabling techno-friendly organizations with the 
advancement of techno, the right way.  I mean look at musikundmaschine
in germany...Siemens is a sponsor.  They do cellular phones and alot of 
technology globally.  They donate to pbs in the United States.  So it not all 
bad.
What techno really needs is better leadership in marketing, PR, etc, and to 
utilize 
companies that donate monies without marring the integrity.  It can be done 
folks.
