I would love to know about this documentary on techno.

I've talked to some of the people behind "Maestro." They are New Yorkers only
interested in telling the story of NYC. The documentary was never intended to
be a comphrensive story about dance music.

Francis Grasso just passed away a few weeks ago too.

There is a young man in NYC who did shoot a lot of footage about Detroit
techno. He just needs money to get the piece up and running.

People just focus on what they like I suppose.

It would be nice to see a comphrensive piece on dance music. I hated
"Modulations" because it just seemed to be a bunch of clips for an almost
MTV-like audience. I never really felt like the significance of the various
people was fully explained. I know it was meant to be a "crash course" in the
music but it was too sloppy.

Now that the DEMF has gotten bigger I'm sure some people are now thinking
about filming something on the scene.........
