just to get the facts straight:

a. I never asked for the document to be removed.

b. After work today I am going to "reformat" Strings Of Life and At Les, post them to the net and advertise publicly that they are available from my site without Carl or Derrick's permission, and then not mention that I did not create the source material in the first place.

If Carl or Derrick complain, I imply that they are mean spirited and greedy. Since I "reformated" their work, obviously it is mine and I should be able to do whatever I like with it without crediting anyone. Only horrible people like the idea of having at least a limited amount of control over how their work is distributed.

yup, I am a terrible person, it bothers me that somebody would modify and repost something I worked on without permission or at least a reference to the original document. If you would have taken two seconds to ask for permission, and referenced the original document the whole issue would have been avoided.

does it seem rediculous for somebody to take Innovator, press 1,000 2 cd sets, release it on their own label, and then not credit derrick may? After having done this, then claim Derrick should not have a problem with it because you used a smaller 2cd jewel case and different cover art.

You just did exactly the same thing with text instead of audio.

aldoph hitler did the same thing to the jews; ok now this thread is over.

Subject: [313] change to demf guide for palm
Date: Tue, 22 May 2001 11:29:35 -0400 (EDT)

at the request of mike taylor, I've removed the html version of the demf
guide from my web server. I humbly apologize for being so rude as to have
pasted it into a usable format.

You can still get the lineup from my server, as I *ahem* compiled that
myself, from demf.org, and didn't infringe on mr. taylor's intellectual
property. True, you can get the lineup from demf.org yourself, but I've
formatted it for palm, so you can easily refer to it while you're at the
festival.

So, if you want the lineup in a nice, easy hypertext format... point your
browser or avantgo software to http://www.postraveclub.com/demf.html.

If, however, you want the full demf faq as compiled by mike taylor, get
out your microsoft products and open that .rtf file. it's available
exclusively at http://music.hyperreal.org/demf/

and if you've already downloaded the version i had posted before, and you
like it, i suggest you not sync your palm between now and the festival.

XOXOXOXO PLUR,

cheers! :D :D :D

chris
