To fellow members of the press covering DEMF, Two weeks ago I spoke with a member of Pop Culture Media (before the storm started) and they said that I should be getting a letter in the mail with a list of things I will need in order to retain my daily press pass. (Also, I put my name on this list for press for this particular magazine DIRECTLY after the press conference.) I asked what a press pass included (where it allowed me to go etc.)and she said all this would be in the letter. Due to experience, I knew to ask if she would need a letter from the editor and previous bi-line. To which they said, "yes".
It is now Tuesday, after Friday afternoon I am gone and still now letter...four days before the festival. Is this happening with any one else? Had I not known to ask those two questions I would of been screwed once I got to the tent. Maybe I'm just a goober, and they don't like me..but I've left two phone messages and written an email and still no returned calls. Can anyone on here answer my questions possibly? Don't get me wrong, I'm not about the free fruit backstage (ok, maybe the pineapple) but I'd at least like to know what to expect regarding my boundries this weekend.
