So to not confuse .cda is an indexing configuration file, note they always
have a file weight of less then 1k = no audio content.  Big companies do
this to hide the wave files, makes copying commercial audio CDs not so easy
with proper software.  You won't need to worry about this, follow Kevin's
directions to handle the conversion from MP3 to Wave and then jump into
Adaptec easy CD 4.0+ or Nero as Dennis suggests to rip the CD.

.cda is the file-extension for a cd playable wave file.

Most Audio CD burning software will create a CD from .mp3 though.  I know
for a fact that Adaptec easy CD 4.0+ and Nero both do.
