Sunday was a bit of a letdown for me at the festival. Only Todd Sines
(live) and Kenny Larking (DJing) really did it for me. Both Strand & Shake
and Titonton Duvante's group are stretching the boundaries, and
that's good to see, but the music didn't really jell for me anyway. John
Acquaviva played good tracks (of course) but like a lot of main stage
acts it seems hard to get into the flow with that big of a crowd.

I did like Shari Vari of course :)

And right at the moment I'm voting in favor of banning microphones on
the main stage. If I hear "Detroit, make some noise" one more time,
why I oughta . . .

Had a very good time after midnight, though. The 430 West party was
sparsely attended, and all I can say is y'all missed a stellar live
performance for over an hour by Wild Planet (Simon Hartley from
Sweden), and also Mike Huckaby reaching back to the beginning with
some acid house that sounded great in the Johanson Gallery.

Then I went over to the Teknotika party not too far away, and Gary
Martin played a really top-notch set, plus the vibe for once lived up to
that chant, "Ain't no party like a Detroit party 'cause a Detroit party
don't stop!"

The weather seems to be improving a little, so I imagine the crowds
will be unbelievable for the finale today. It was amazing how crowded
it was even at 4 pm yesterday during Johnny Q's set.
