That was the first time I ever had fear of setting foot on a dance floor. People were wall to wall, and it looked like some depiction of purgatory. In the DJ booth he was bathed in red light, with a "Sisters of Mercy" poster behind him. One interesting moment was when a CD started skipping creating a Kid606 effect, then followed by the system emitting a horrible tone. The crowd went nuts, while Richie looked a little less than thrilled.
