Also, cost is no barrier to the homeless or unemployed citizens of Detroit. I loved it when an apparently homeless woman plopped down her "garbage" bag and took over a circle from a bunch of well-dressed white kids @ the CPOP stage. Nothing against those kids per se, but somehow I think the opportunity to dance there may have meant a little more to her and the guy that started gettin' down with her than them. Lester's briliant commentary rings truer at these moments than any others.
