when you read older articles from rich he talks about how at first he played
from DAT, and then speedy j actually converted him over to the
you-can-actually-play-it-live philosophy.
From how excited he sounded about doing live material over playing records,
i'm surprised he went back (although i do understand how de9 is kinda both).
