LIVE PA's at the magic stick (4140 woodward). the gig starts at 9pm and admission is $5. dj on/off will be doing a set in between live performances. anyone who has missed his live sets in the past should be tarred and feathered. go check him out if you haven't already.
also everyone's favorite group, basement jerxx will be at motor tonight playing variations of their #1 hit smash "Remedy" over and over again until everyone's ears bleed and beg for mercy. FURTHERMORE i believe mr plaslaiko and company are setting up ship to do their spirit works thing at the works. it's on michigan avenue (near rosa parks and the old tiger stadium). this would be the perfect complimentary after activity to BVL's performance. 734 people : can't make it to detroit tonight? no problem! mike dykehouse will be doing a live set at the blind pig with a bunch of local experimental artists. i don't have much other info on that. finally, tomorrow night, maersk (sharif) and myself will be putting on the second installment of our folding chair film theatre series. laid back grooves from both of us on the tables (before and after the movie) and the cult classic "Camille 2000" showing @ 10.30. admission is $4. there's $1 popcorn all night and beer served as well. this will be happening at the Detroit Contemporary (5141 Rosa Parks ph: 313 898 4art)from 8pm-12am. thank you for your continued support of this ongoing event.
