Hey all, sorry to bother you, but I am not a member of the tech-gear list, and I want to give my good friends of 313 a chance before I waste time with ebay.
I'm moving out of michigan in 3 weeks, and I have a bunch of quirky gear for sale. Linn Drum w/ midi retrofit. My first piece of gear, this thing is absolutely badass. Has all the original chips, except for a weird but funky cabasa. This is such a great drum machine, with is individual outputs, panning, volume, for each sound. Problem is that this beast got dropped on its head a while back. The only real authorized Linn repair/modifier, Forat, quoted me as saying it could cost 100$ plus shipping to fix at the most. It's got a loose wire that's a bit messed up, and when you solder it back on, the linn will work, but can take 2-15 minutes to power up. These go from 400-550$ on ebay, so counting in repair costs, make a reasonable offer. It's in great shape other than the scratches it received when it dived off my rack. Ensoniq DP4+ fx processor. Top of the mid-range fx processors. It has 4 individual processors that can be arranged in any parallel or serial configuration. Good reverbs, weird modulations and delays, good compressors, weird nasty digital distortions. The problem here is that output 2 produces some strange intermittent white noise. It can be lessened or temporarily eliminated by playing with one of the knobs. Maybe some sort of electronics guru could quickly repair whatever sort of short is causing the noise. Since you can run fx in parallel, this unit is 3/4's perfectly functional, and the intermittant noise can be used creatively for very cool fx. It's got some rack scratches on the top and bottom. I'm asking 275$ for it. I've got a motu micro express midi interface in perfect shape. 1/2 rack space, works with mac and pc. 4in/6 out, plugs into the parallel port. 50$ I've got a 14U Peavey road rack. It's ugly, beat up, heavy, and bulky, but it has wicked rack spaces for all your gear needs. It has handles and wheels, so it might be nice for someone who isn't as frail as me. looking for 50$ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
