> 1) Can anyone recommend some good record stores in London where one could > find some decent techno?
New techno: Smallfish (www.smallfish.co.uk), Old Street.* Eukatech (www.eukatech.co.uk), Endell Street (nr Covent Garden). Ambient Soho (website?), Berwick Street (Soho). Rough Trade (www.rough-trade.com), Neal's Yard (nr Covent Garden). Vinyl Junkies (www.vinyl-junkies.co.uk), Berwick Street (more housey).* I think Tag have moved in with Eukatech and Atlas have closed :( Second hand techno: Reckless (www.reckless.co.uk), Berwick Street & Upper Street (Islington).* Music and Video (www.mveshops.co.uk), all over like a rash (Notting Hill, Berwick St, Camden etc.) Marked shops (*) are my favourites. Also check out Sister Ray for a hybrid of the two (also on Berwick Street). > 2) Any recommended venues (clubs / whatever) in / around London that play > decent techno? Check Timeout for specific stuff, or ask in a non moody record shop, though the End and Fabric are your good bets for venues. I hear good things of the Turnmills techno Fridays, too, but have never been to them. Hope that helps, Jonny. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
